Why OmeTV Users Are Looking for an Alternative
OmeTV has a large user base and works well as a video chat platform. But it has a core friction problem: it requires a mobile app download on phones, and increasingly pushes users toward social login via Facebook or VK for anything beyond the briefest session. For a lot of people, that is a dealbreaker. Not because the app is bad, but because the original point of random chat was that it asked nothing of you. You clicked a button and talked to someone. No account, no history, no trail. OmeTV asking for your Facebook account — a social graph with your name, photo, friends list, and location history — is the opposite of that. People who want anonymous chat are specifically not the people who want to connect it to their social media identity.
What OmeTV Does Not Have — That Vidibro Does
OmeTV is video-only. If you do not want to be on camera — because you are tired, in a shared space, practising a language and need time to compose — there is no fallback. Vidibro has three modes: Video — face-to-face, the same as OmeTV's core experience. Voice — audio only, camera stays off. Full conversation, no performance pressure. Text — no camera, no mic, no permission prompts at all. Double-tick read receipts tell you when your message was actually seen. Nothing stored when you close. All three are free. No app, no account, no social login.
How Vidibro Works on Mobile Without an App
Vidibro is built mobile-first using WebRTC, which runs directly in the browser — the same technology that powers Google Meet and WhatsApp Web calls. Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android, Firefox on either — it works without installing anything. Video quality adapts automatically. On a strong wifi or 5G connection you get full quality. On 4G the bitrate scales down so the call keeps going rather than freezing. At no point do you need to go to an app store. The matching pool covers 180+ countries. At peak hours it takes a few seconds to connect. One tap moves you to the next person whenever you want — no limit, no explanation needed.
Why Vidibro is the Better OmeTV in 2026
No app download, no Facebook or VK login, no registration, no coins, no paid gender filter. Video, voice, and text chat are all free forever. Calls run peer-to-peer — no media passes through our servers, so nothing is recorded or stored. AI moderation runs in real time, and a one-tap report button ends any conversation immediately.
