What language will they type in?
India's chat language depends entirely on who you match with. There is no single answer — but here is what to expect:
The neutral default. Almost everyone switches to English with a stranger from a different state.
The most common form of Hindi on phone keyboards. Looks like: 'kya kar raha hai bhai'. Far faster to type than Devanagari.
Less common on phone, more common from desktop. Someone who opens in script is usually comfortable taking time.
If someone opens in Tamil, Bengali, or Telugu, they are checking whether you share it. Reply in English and they will switch.
Staying safe
Text chat means no video, no audio — just what you choose to type. There is no profile, no account, and nothing stored when the conversation ends. That is a privacy property, not a guarantee about who you meet.
